Club Update: Course Closure

Following Friday’s decision to cancel all golf competitions and golf bookings, this afternoon, based on advice from the NSW State Government and the NSW Office of Sport, we have decided to FULLY CLOSE OUR GOLF COURSES TO PUBLIC ACCESS from midnight tonight, 30th March 2020, until further notice.

Immediately following this time, access to our club and golf course is strictly limited to ground and maintenance staff only.

The further tightening of social gatherings and self-isolation from the Prime Minister on Sunday afternoon helped validate our decision, which is wholly consistent with our intention to hold the health and wellbeing of our local community above all else.

Our stance has the support of Golf Australia and is consistent with moves made by other golf clubs across the country.

Rest assured, our hard-working ground staff, though limited in numbers, will be working diligently during the closure to ensure our golf, bowls, and croquet facilities are beautifully maintained and ready for play once these public safety measures are lifted.

If desired, Members have until 6pm, Wednesday 1st April to collect carts and equipment from Buggy Rooms and Cart Sheds. After this time, storage areas will be unavailable until we reopen.

As previously stated, we recognise our business has a fundamental social responsibility during this time, and we genuinely believe our decision to close can play a part in minimising the impact of this terrible pandemic in our region.

Thank you again for your understanding.

Please stay safe and look after each other. We can’t wait to welcome you back to Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort as soon as possible.
