Update for Victorians and Cross-border residents

Dear Members,

Firstly, I’d like to start by thanking all Members and visitors of Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort for their unwavering support during this period of uncertainty. Your care and passion for our Club has and will continue to be our most valuable asset.

As you would be aware, the introduction of new border restrictions brings an immediate impact to our Club, and over 5,000 loyal Victorian members.

As of midnight tonight (11.59pm, Tuesday 21 July), Victorians, including local Yarrawonga and surrounding residents, will be unable to cross the NSW border for the intention of playing golf (or any sporting activity) or visiting our Clubhouse.

As widely communicated by NSW government outlets, Victorian border zone residents are only authorised to enter NSW for work, education or medical or health care reasons.

In the short term, we aim to remain open for NSW based Members and guests, however with almost 80% of our local Members residing on the Victorian side of the border, continuing regular golf and Clubhouse operations will be complicated.

We ask for your understanding as we monitor the situation from a safety, operations and staffing perspective. Rest assured, we will continue to base all decisions with our people and community at the forefront.

Our management team will maintain regular communications with Members and Guests as news becomes available. Information will be updated on our website and delivered via email and SMS and shared on our Facebook page.

Thank you for your understanding as we work towards reopening our doors for all Victorian residents once it is again safe to do so.

Look after each other, and we look forward to welcoming you again all soon.

Kind Regards,

Peter Savy
CEO, Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort
