It is with great sadness that we share the passing of beloved Life Member and former Head Golf Professional, Phillip Droop, at the age of 79.

Phillip was an integral part of Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort, serving as Head Professional for an incredible 44 years. In 2021, he was honoured with the title of Membership Number 1 – a fitting recognition for someone who gave so much to our club and community.

Phillip’s contribution to the game and to the lives of so many members, visitors, and fellow staff will never be forgotten. He was a mentor, a leader, a gentleman, and a dear friend to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A celebration of Phillip’s life will be held in the Club’s Willow Room on Tuesday 8 April from 2pm. Members and guests are warmly invited to attend and share in remembering a wonderful man who will always remain part of the Yarrawonga Mulwala story.

We extend our deepest condolences to Droop family and all who knew and loved Phillip.

He will be sadly missed.
