This week, Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort proudly celebrated a remarkable milestone, with staff member Ondy Colvin marking an incredible 40 years of continuous service.

Ondy, who began working behind the bar in 1984, has become a familiar face to generations of members and guests. Ondy is now officially the longest serving staff member in the Club’s 127-year history.

Club CEO Peter Savy paid tribute to Ondy’s commitment and contribution to the club.

“Ondy is truly one of a kind,” said Mr Savy. “Her dedication over 40 years is something incredibly rare and worth celebrating. She’s part of the fabric here.”

Reflecting on her journey, Ondy was characteristically humble.

“I’ve made so many memories over the years,” Ondy said. “Whether it be Dicky Shiels pulling beer and Alan Ogden teaching me how to drink, or Mischa Moore and Sarah Brownlee teaching me how to use the grill, I have made special friendships over a long period of time.

“It’s been an honour to work at the club, and I look forward to many more great moments that are ahead me.”

Ondy’s milestone was marked with a celebration among staff and long-time members – a fitting recognition of a truly outstanding career in hospitality.
