Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort is saddened to share the passing of Life Member Bill Monahan.

Originally from Echuca, Bill moved to the region to work at the Mulwala Explosives Factory and went on to become a dedicated and long-standing member of our Club. He was elevated to Life Membership in 2008, nominated by Pasco Ellis and Bill Gorman, in recognition of his outstanding service.

Bill served as the Club’s Treasurer from 1970 to 1980 – the longest tenure in that role in our history. He was also a passionate community servant, contributing to the Yarrawonga Lions Club and the Men’s Probus Club with the same generosity and commitment he gave to Yarra Golf.

Bill was set to celebrate his 100th birthday in October. We honour his remarkable contribution to the Club and congratulate him on a lifetime of service and community spirit.

Bill’s funeral will be held on Friday, 11 July at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Echuca at 11am.
