Aileen Buckley and Troy Robertson have taken out the Ladies and Men’s Club Championships for 2025 at Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club.

Troy Robertson finally claimed the Men’s A Grade title that had narrowly eluded him in recent years. Starting the final round with a three-shot lead over Mitch Davis, Robertson displayed consistent golf from start to finish. While Davis fought hard early, a tough front nine opened the door for Robertson to extend his lead. Maintaining his composure throughout the back nine, Robertson cruised to victory and lifted the 2025 Men’s Club Championship trophy – a long-awaited and thoroughly deserved reward for his perseverance and determination.

Over on the Lake Course, the Women’s Championship provided a nail-biting battle between Kirri Davis and Aileen Buckley. Davis entered the final round with a seven-shot advantage, but Buckley’s steady play and determination saw her claw back the deficit as the round progressed. By the 12th hole, the Championship was tied, setting up an intense finish.

Both players stood on the 18th tee all square, and after matching drives and approaches, it came down to the short game. Buckley faced a lengthy putt but held her nerve brilliantly, sinking a clutch par putt under pressure to secure a remarkable comeback victory, earning her the title of 2025 Women’s Club Champion.
