2026 Yarrawonga Women’s Rose Bowl
Last Thursday and Friday, Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort welcomed 112 women from across the region and beyond for the annual Women’s Rose Bowl and Champion of Champions.
This year, the Rose Bowl moved to a new two-day format, with the overall result decided on combined scores from Thursday’s 4BBB and Friday’s Single Stableford.
Thursday saw 56 pairs take to the course for the 4BBB, with Mansfield 1 winning A Grade with 50 points. Mansfield 2 finished runners-up with 46 points on a countback from Numurkah. In B Grade, Mansfield also claimed the win with 46 points on a countback from Commercial Albury, while Myrtleford finished third.
Mansfield 1 went into Friday’s Single Stableford with a handy lead and managed to hold on to claim the 2026 Rose Bowl, finishing three points ahead of Commercial Albury.
Alongside the Rose Bowl, 11 players competed in the Champion of Champions on the Murray Course, representing Cobram Barooga, Tocumwal, YMGCR, Finley, Deniliquin, Corowa, Mooroopna, Shepparton, Mansfield and Myrtleford.
After a great contest, Rowena Wallace from Cobram Barooga claimed the Tassicker Trophy, presented by Kaye Forge, by just one shot over our local Aileen Dwyer Buckley. Aileen also took out the Net event, proudly supported by Karen Droop.
Events like these take a great deal of hard work and preparation behind the scenes. We would like to thank the YMGCR Women’s Committee, our volunteers from the Women’s membership, Evan Droop and his team in the Pro Shop, Burgo and the Grounds team, Peter Savy, and Michelle and her team in the Club.
Thank you to everyone involved in making the 2026 Rose Bowl and Champion of Champions a fantastic event. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in 2027 after a little rest!
