Yarra Golf Junior Club Champion Cooper Holman has claimed the Boys 12 Years title at the 2026 Jack Newton Junior Golf State Age Championships.

Held from 7 to 10 July, the championships brought together 170 of Australia’s most talented junior golfers for four days of competition across Catalina Club and Moruya Golf Club on the New South Wales South Coast.

The field featured boys and girls aged from 12 to 17 competing across 12 divisions, with players travelling from New South Wales, the ACT, Queensland, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania. International representatives from New Zealand and China also competed for age division honours.

Playing at Moruya Golf Club, Cooper produced an outstanding four-round performance, carding scores of 77, 76, 82 and 77 to finish at 26-over par.

His total was enough to secure the championship by one shot, while finishing seven shots clear of third place.

The victory adds another prestigious title to Cooper’s growing list of achievements and is a fantastic result for one of Yarra Golf’s brightest young talents.
