Trivia lends a Helping Hand
Last Tuesday’s inaugural Yarra Golf Charity Trivia Night saw over 120 Members and guests gather for a great night of fun and laughter.
With Victorian lockdown easing just in time for the event to go ahead, the opportunity for guests to escape the house with friends and family for a few hours was a welcome retreat.
Most importantly, the night was a massive success for Charity partner, Helping Hands. Entry fees and contributions from guests, which Yarra Golf matched, raised more than $3,000 in donations to go directly towards the funding of new beds at Yarrawonga Hospital.

Helping Hands committee member Jackie Smith said the funds raised would benefit the local community for many years to come.
“Our current goal is to raise enough money to update all 100 beds across the Yarrawonga Health Residential Aged Care Facilities and the Acute Unit. The new multipurpose beds present considerable benefits to aged care patients at risk of falls and assist staff in providing increased comfort levels for residents,” she said.
“It was terrific to have so many people attend the Golf Club and help support our cause. It was a wonderful night!”
The next Charity Trivia Night is scheduled for 7.30pm Tuesday 6 July, which will support another local service, Moira Foodshare.
Moira Foodshare is a community-based volunteer program supporting farmers, single-parent families, and individuals and families doing it tough with weekly food donations.
RSVP your trivia team now. Entry is just $10, which includes a free Lion Beer, wine or soft drink. All proceeds will be matched by Yarra Golf Cares and donated to Moira Foodshare.
