Yarra Golf Proud to Host 2026 Australian Amputee Open
Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort is proud to welcome the 2026 Australian Amputee Open, with the three-round national event getting underway today at the Club.
The tournament has brought together 43 players from across Australia and overseas, showcasing some of the best amputee golfers in the country across three days of competition.
Following last year’s event at Coolangatta & Tweed Heads Golf Club, the Australian Amputee Open continues to provide an important national stage for players to compete, connect and celebrate the game of golf.
Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort CEO Peter Savy said the Club was honoured to have been chosen to host the event.
“We are proud to host this event and showcase our Club Resort to another strong group of golfers playing in a national event,” Peter said.
Local member and former Board Director Andrew Watson played an important role in helping bring the tournament to Yarra Golf, after first raising the Club Resort with organisers in 2024 before working with CEO Peter Savy on a formal proposal.
A below-knee amputee himself, Andrew is also part of the field this week.
The Australian Amputee Open is another wonderful example of golf’s ability to bring people together, while highlighting the skill, determination and passion of players from across the country.
Yarra Golf looks forward to welcoming all competitors, officials, families and supporters for what promises to be a fantastic week of golf.
