Barefoot Bowls Charity Challenge Raises $2,000 for Local Causes
The greens at Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort have once again played host to a fantastic display of community spirit, with the conclusion of the Barefoot Bowls Annual Charity Challenge.
Over six enjoyable weeks, teams from across the region came together for some friendly competition, plenty of laughs and a shared goal of supporting important local causes.
At the end of the competition, Yarra SES claimed the title of overall champions, earning a $300 donation for the local emergency services team. Finishing in second place were the Limestone Jacks, who secured a $300 donation for Yarrawonga Health.
Thanks to the support and enthusiasm of everyone involved, the event generated $2,000 in total donations, benefiting a range of local organisations including Yarrawonga Meals on Wheels, Yarrawonga Men’s Shed, Helping Hands, Friends in Common, Bundalong Community Group and Yarrawonga Hospital.
The annual Barefoot Bowls Charity Challenge continues to highlight the power of community sport, bringing people together for a fun evening on the greens while making a meaningful difference locally.
Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort would like to thank Mercy Health for their support as event sponsor, and the YMGCR Bowls Committee for their work in organising another successful event.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back for another great challenge next year.
